Cupcakes

Cold Stone Creamery had these cupcake treats this Valentine's season.  The cup portion is made of chocolate.  There is a little cake in the bottom, a big dollop of ice cream covered with a whipped topping and sprinkles.  Yum.

Ring a ding, ding . . .

Due to lack of time and energy, I did not get a chance to load up photos last night. So, here is another picture of THE RING!

Surprise, surprise!

I was taken completely by surprise when Bob popped the question.  I didn't see it coming at all.  I said, "yes," of course.

This was the first version as posted earlier.

This is the revised piece that was submitted for grading.

They were both well received during the class critique.

I also treated myself to a Valentine's plant that I can replant in the garden and enjoy year after year.

Valentine flowers

Since I wasn't lucky enough to have someone bring me flowers for Valentine's Day, I had to go and buy my own.

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel is the first to bloom in the yard each year.

For some reason, though, only half the tree is in bloom?

Snow day

The morning after our 6" snowfall I shot some pics before heading to the office.

Crack Tree

We refer to this little pine tree as the Crack Tree because I found it growing in a sidewalk crack at school.  It was only a few inches high when I first brought it home.  It does not like the winter very much.  All the snow and ice seem to weigh it down.  I continually go out and knock the snow and ice off to help it.  I guess this year we should stake it up so it stands tall.
